President of the Kentucky State University from 1982-1989



Raymond became the Kentucky State University's president in 1982. As president, he was known for being somewhat harsh when he made decisions, but his decisions produce results. During his tenure has President Raymond increase KSU's academic standards, increase capital improvement by $60 million, and he increase finances. He ended his tenure in 1989 due to constants problems with faculty that cause an increase in turnover rate.
